The resort of Petra is a 5 to 10-minute drive south of Molyvos and is the choice of beach and, with its many restaurants, of food lovers. It is also home to this outstanding boutique property.
Archontiko Petra’s 1821 was built in that year, the year the Greek war of independence began. It is a charming, beautifully restored building that would look the part in any setting. It has but 5 rooms, with furnishings beautifully in keeping with the image of the 19th century. The rooms either overlook the garden, the roofs of the village houses, or the church of Petra which, as per its name, is built on a rock.
A housekeeper looks after guests and gives the property a homely, intimate feel as if the modern world is miles away. If desired, breakfast can be prepared and served to you each morning in the dining room.
A shingle beach is a five minute walk and the village centre two minutes away.
