Take the time to choose the right villa, with the right number of rooms. Four-room villas suit many families - but bigger groups have plenty of options. Villa Heleni, on Paxos, overlooks the island's east coast - sleeping up to six people, the house dates back to the 18th century. On Corfu, Villa Alexandros - sleeping up to ten people - is only minutes from Kaminaki beach but includes its own shaded sunbathing areas. Larger villas on Crete include Villa Maris and Villa Kontis, each sleeping eight and offering spectacular views of the White Mountains.
