The villa is in the friendly village of Karavomilos, where you'll find a bakery and a couple of tavernas. The nearby port of Sami has even more dining options, as well as shops and beaches.

The villa is named after a nearby attraction, Melissani Lake, where one of the owners, Aris, works. Head down into the caves and you can take a trip on a boat into the middle of the subterranean lake. The water's shade of blue changes at different times of day, due to the shifting light that shines through the cave ceiling.
