Three bedroom villa

Villa Cavos was once the residence of the famous Greek artist, Aristomenis Angelopoulous. It is now owned and managed by his Granddaughter who has followed in his footsteps and lovingly refurbished the villa, adding a modern twist whilst still maintaining its traditional character. As you walk around the house you will see many of her Grandfather's original paintings.

The property enjoys an unbeatable clifftop location overlooking the pristine cobalt waters of peaceful Agios Petros bay - the white-pebble beach is just a minute's walk and the villa has a swimming platform with a ladder into the sparkling sea. 

The feeling here is one of quiet seclusion thanks to the house's unique position surrounded by tall ancient pines on a promontory with the sea to three sides. This enables views to die for from every aspect. There is a scattering of other houses in the area - the closest is 50m to the rear - but they will not disturb as the villa's terraces are not overlooked.

The house has a unique layout as all three bedrooms have their own access from the outside. The main living quarters comprise a ground floor living room with a full open plan kitchen and stairs up to a first floor bedroom (traditional platform double bed) and a second smaller sitting room. The second bedroom is a large double on the first floor and has steps up from the garden. The third is a smaller double. All bedrooms have air conditioning and a very nice modern ensuite rainwater shower and hairdryer. Bedrooms 2 and 3 also possess a kettle, a mini-fridge and a sea view balcony or terrace. Amenities include a washing machine, dishwasher and WiFi. Outside there are expansive terraces and seating areas under the trees where you can just relax and gaze.

The design means this house is not suited to families with young children. It is, however, perfect for older multi-generational parties, groups of friends who like some independence, or even a couple, as the house is well priced for just two persons outside July and August.

Access to the villa from the main road above is 500m via a rough unmade road which takes a couple of minutes. Although feeling very remote, the pretty harbour of Steni Vala is just a 5 minute drive away and has a good choice of tavernas and several small shops. The main port of Patitiri is 20 minutes (10 kms) as is the characterful old town high above which has a lively taverna scene of its own in the evenings.
